Aquiring is a term from the banking.

With the Acquiring around the acquisition of contracting parties those ready are payments are by means of credit card to be accepted. The so-called Acquiring bank is thereby Kreditinstitut, who accounts for the map payments.

Usually four parties are involved into a map transaction:

• the bank, which spent a map to the map owner, also Issuer or Issuing bank mentioned,
• the map owner, who pays a commodity or a service with map, bought by him,
• the contracting party, which accepts the payment of a commodity or a service with map, bought with it,

and

• the bank, which accounts for the map conversions of the contracting party, also Acquirer or Acquiring bank mentioned.
• Issuing (card output) and Acquiring (contract enterprise account) are the two each other supplementing sides of the map business.

Acquirer

• try by appropriate selling efforts with as much as possible enterprises a contract to close, in which the acceptance of the maps (therefore it also the name "„contract enterprises "“), represented by the Acquirer, is agreed upon;
• account for then the transactions with the Issuern, transacted with the contract enterprises;
• strive for a profitable Vertragsunternehmensportfolio, which depends in particular on the generated map conversion of the contract enterprises.
