A Lorokonto is from view of bank A an account, which maintains the bank B with the bank A. From view of bank B the account is a Nostrokonto. The designation comes from the Italian and means "“it"” (account). In Switzerland for this the term Vostrokonto is used.

Nostro and Lorokonten are usually used for the completion by accounting reservations in the exchange or for the short term investment of funds (interbank business).
