Mobile Banking is a so-called application (application) from the range mobile Commerce. The term "„mobile Banking "“(also M-Banking or mBanking mentioned) is named the completion by banking transactions, which takes place with the help of mobile terminals such as mobile telephones or PDAs.

Mobile Banking consists of three applications

• Mobile account processing (mobile Accounting)
• Mobile depot guidance (mobile Brokerage)
• Mobile financial information (mobile Financial information services)

Since news services supply the necessary decision basis for transactions, account and/or depot guidance services can be only offered, if a certain minimum number at news services is ordered. News services however can be offered also as independent module, i.e. without making the transaction services possible.

Meaning mobile of the Banking

From selling view mobile Banking makes an additional distribution channel for the banks possible. That is the reason, why mobile Banking in the multi-channel strategy of many banks takes an important role.
